FAQ’S
Should I eat / drink before the session?
Please have something to eat within the 4 hours prior to your session. No alcohol.
I am pregnant, can I have acupuncture?
Whilst many ladies have very successful acupuncture experiences during their pregnancy, my own teacher, who has been practising acupuncture for over 30 years advises us against it. For this reason I do not offer acupuncture during pregnancies.
Acupuncture is a wonderful tool to assist with conception and I’d be delighted to support you.
How many sessions will I need?
It really depends on a few things:
The chronicity of the condition
The frequency of our treatments
Your individual constitution
As a general idea though you should start to feel some improvement within 72 hours of your first session. After 3 or 4 sessions you should be noticing the difference.
What should I wear?
Layers are best, and clothing that isn’t too tight.
I may need to access your legs so bringing along a pair of shorts is a good option.
Anything else I should know prior to treatment?
I e-mail my clients a list of contra indications prior to their first session. I may refuse treatment for your own safety if one of these conditions is applicable. You can download this here.
Anything else I should consider for after my treatment?
We would have worked on rebalancing the energy systems within your body, so plan a quiet evening. Give yourself a chance to relax.
